If something goes wrong, we want to know about it so we can put it right.

How to make a complaint

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide as much detail as possible about your concerns so we can investigate fully.

How we will handle your complaint

We aim to deal with complaints promptly, fairly and free of charge.

We will:

  • Acknowledge your complaint within a reasonable timeframe
  • Review the details of your concerns
  • Contact you to discuss the issue where appropriate
  • Keep you informed of progress
  • Provide a clear response setting out our findings and any proposed resolution

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can ask for your complaint to be reviewed by another member of the firm.

Timescales

We aim to resolve complaints within eight weeks.

If we are unable to do so within this time, we will inform you and explain your options.

If we cannot resolve your complaint

If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may have the right to refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman.

The Legal Ombudsman is an independent organisation that helps resolve complaints about legal services.

Time limits for referring a complaint

You must usually bring your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman:

  • Within six months of receiving our final response, and
  • Within one year of the act or omission you are complaining about
